One competitor is FL studio. This is one of the most popular music making software. It has a variety of different instruments and many things you can do to manipulate the music how you want it. The problem is that the cost ranges from $99 to $899 to download depending on which bundle you get and all of the bundles include free updates for life. It also requirement that your computer needs in order for the program to work.
Another competitor is a software called Reaper. It costs $60 but offers a free trial. It allows you to use the sounds you create and add singing to them by connecting a microphone to your computer. This program is smaller than than ones that costs hundreds of dollars but still is very powerful. The problem though is that it mainly focuses on singing or adding voice to your music which makes the musical instruments of lesser quality.
